Revenue

Revenue = sale price + shipping the buyer paid − refunds

Net profit

Net profit = revenue − platform fees − ad fees − shipping you paid − price paid − parts and repairs

An item's Profit card for a $189 sale with $12 shipping, showing each cost and a net profit of $131.76
The Profit card for the sale in the example below.

Worked example

Amount
Sale price$189.00
+ Shipping the buyer paid+$12.00
= Revenue$201.00
− Platform fees (13.6% of $201 + $0.40)−$27.74
− Ad fees−$0.00
− Shipping you paid−$11.50
− Price paid−$30.00
− Parts and repairs−$0.00
= Net profit$131.76

Margin

Margin = net profit ÷ revenue. In the example, $131.76 ÷ $201.00 = 65.6%.

Total cost and inventory value

An item's total cost is the price paid plus its parts and repairs. Inventory Value on the dashboard is the total cost of every item that's Bought, In repair, or Listed.

Estimated profit before you list

Until an item sells (Bought, In repair, or Listed), its card is called Estimated Profit and works as a calculator: type a price in Item price and pick where you're Selling on to see that platform's fees, your costs, the estimated profit, and the margin. It starts at the list price and the item's platform (or the one you used last). Nothing you type there is saved, but Move to Listed picks up the price and platform you tried.
